Riegersburg Castle has the reputation of being one of the most popular excursion destinations in Styria, not only because of its impressive location, but also because of the valuable partners who provide action and variety on the grounds.
In the following we would like to introduce our partners in the castle area.
SCAVENGER HUNT ON THE CASTLE PATH FOR CHILDREN
The castle ghost Rüdiger has hidden a letter in each of the 7 gates on the castle path to Riegersburg Castle. It doesn't matter whether you go up the castle or come down from the lift and walk down the castle path - it doesn't make any difference when searching.
All 7 letters make up keyword, it just has to be put together correctly first. Whoever can name the keyword in one of the castle's shops will receive a small reward! Good luck - you can do it!
A help sheet for the 7 letters is available at the description boards (castle entrance or lift exit) or in the shops.

BIRD OF PREY SHOW
Visit the bird of prey station Riegersburg. An impressive and highly professional flight demonstration with birds of prey awaits you. Learn more about the high art of falconry and get to know the kings of the air up close.
Flight demonstrations daily (except in case of heavy rain):
Monday through Saturday: 11:00am and 3:00pm
Sunday and public holidays: 11:00am, 2:00pm and 4:00pm
Admission to the respective air show at the earliest ½ hour before the start!
CLIMBING ON THE VOLCANIC ROCK
The only via ferratas in eastern Styria are located directly on the volcanic rock on which Riegersburg Castle was built. The Leopold's route (170m), the difficult alternative (60m) and the Heinrich's route (190m) can be reached from the castle entrance in the village of Riegersburg. Equipment (only in connection with a trainer) and further climbing tours are available at Naturbursch Riegersburg.

CASTLE ROAD GEOTOUR
Go on a wondrous journey with Squire Karli, search for hidden treasures, experience exciting adventures and solve the secrets of the time-honored buildings.
On this GeoTour there are 26 castles and palaces with treasures (caches) to find. If you visit all of them and solve the entire tour, you can unlock a souvenir in your geocaching profile as a reward.
In addition to the tour, there are more geocaches to discover on and around the Riegersburg!
