With the castle opening on Saturday, 28 March 2026, everything is open again.
The footpath, castle grounds, and via ferratas remain open as long as weather conditions allow.

Proud and mighty, Riegersburg Castle is enthroned on the 482-meter-high volcanic rock from which it overlooks the southeastern Styrian hill country. In all the centuries of its existence, the Riegersburg could never be conquered. Nowadays, the climb up to the castle is much easier, but always an experience.

You can experience the museums even more intensely during guided tours. Guided tours for groups are available upon prior arrangement.
